Most cookie pages are written to make lawyers happy. This one is written to tell you what is actually stored on your device when you visit interac-casinos.ca, why it is there, how long it stays, and how to get rid of it in under two minutes. If You Only Read One Paragraph
We set three kinds of cookies: essential ones that keep the site working, analytics ones that tell us which pages get read, and affiliate ones that pay us when you sign up at a casino through our links. None of them identify you by name. None of them follow you around the web with casino ads. None of them are sold to data brokers. There are two lifespan types. A session cookie disappears the moment you close the browser tab. A persistent cookie stays on your device for a set period — hours, days, or up to a couple of years — until it either expires or you delete it. This site uses both.

If a cookie name is not on that list, it is not being set by us. Third parties may set their own cookies once you leave our site for a casino's website — that is governed by the casino's own cookie policy, not ours.

Essential cookies — because the site breaks without them
The consent cookie is the obvious one. Without it, every page reload would show the banner again. The session cookie does a less visible but equally important job: it keeps your navigation state stable while you move between pages. Turn these off and the site becomes technically unusable in ways that have nothing to do with us trying to track you.
Analytics cookies — because otherwise we are writing blind
Google Analytics 4 tells us things like: how many people from Ontario read the Interac withdrawals guide last month, how long the average visitor spends on the payout tracker, and which sections people scroll past without reading. We use that to decide what to expand, what to cut, and what to rewrite. IP anonymization is enabled, so Google never sees a full IP address from this site, and we never see anything tied to your identity.
Affiliate cookies — because this is how the site stays free
Every "Play Now" or "Visit Casino" button on this site contains an affiliate link. When you click one, the affiliate network sets a cookie containing a referral ID. If you sign up at that casino within the cookie's active window, the casino credits us and pays a commission. That commission is how we pay for hosting, research, and the time it takes to write 5,000-word comparison guides.
What that cookie contains: a referral ID and a timestamp. What it does not contain: your name, your email, your banking details, your Interac account, your casino username, or anything you typed into our site. If a casino's affiliate program had access to that data, we would not work with them.
What We Do Not Do With Cookies
Explicit list, because vague promises are useless:
- We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. You will not see our logo following you around the web after you leave.
- We do not embed Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, or similar tracking pixels. There is no social share button on this site for exactly this reason.

- We do not run cross-device tracking that links your phone and laptop as the same person.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade cookie data with data brokers or marketing lists. Ever.
- We do not set cookies that persist longer than 14 months.
How to Block or Delete Cookies
Every browser gives you direct control. Here is where to find it in the ones most Canadians use:
- Chrome (desktop and Android): Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → Block third-party cookies
- Safari (macOS): Safari → Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Safari (iOS): Settings → Safari → Privacy & Security → Block All Cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Exceptions
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data
- Brave: Blocks third-party cookies by default — no settings changes needed
Private or incognito mode discards most cookies automatically when you close the window. If you want more granular control, extensions like uBlock Origin, Privacy Badger, and Cookie AutoDelete let you see and delete individual cookies in real time.
One honest caveat: if you block the essential cookie, the consent banner will keep reappearing and the site will behave strangely. If you block only analytics and affiliate cookies, everything works fine — you just leave us with less information and less commission, which is a fair trade to offer.
How Consent Works Here
When you first visit interac-casinos.ca, a banner asks whether you accept non-essential cookies. If you click accept, we set analytics and affiliate cookies. If you decline, we set only the essential ones. Both paths give you a fully functional site.
You can change your mind at any time. Clearing your browser's cookies for this site resets the consent banner, and you will be asked again on your next visit. Under PIPEDA and Quebec's Law 25, you have the right to withdraw consent to non-essential cookies at any point — and adjusting your browser's cookie settings is a valid way to exercise that right.
The Canadian Legal Framework
Cookie rules in Canada come from a mix of laws, and which one applies depends on where you live and what the cookie does:
- PIPEDA — federal law that treats cookie identifiers as personal information when they can be linked to an identifiable individual. Applies across Canada.
- Quebec's Law 25 — the strictest cookie regime in the country. Requires explicit, informed, granular consent for non-essential cookies. We apply this standard to all Canadian visitors, not just Quebec residents.
- BC PIPA and Alberta PIPA — provincial privacy laws with their own cookie consent requirements for organizations operating primarily in those provinces.
- CASL — anti-spam law that becomes relevant if cookies are used in connection with commercial electronic messages. We do not send marketing emails, so it does not apply to us today. If that ever changes, this page will be updated.
When This Page Changes
If we add a new cookie — say, if we introduce a newsletter and need to remember subscription preferences — this page gets updated and the change is noted at the top with the date. The current version is always at this URL. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
